Aaaaand… We’re In!!!

He did it! He did it!!! He passed meps and is officially in the Army.

I am proud beyond words. He’s wanted this for far longer than he’ll ever admit and I could not be happier that its finally happened for him. We have so much to do and not a lot of time left before he leaves. His ship date got moved from three weeks to two weeks out. So not this coming Monday but next Monday he’ll be gone till late September/early October.

I can’t believe this is happening. I’m so excited for this new life and adventure but the reality of 6 straight months without him is really setting in. We’ll be apart almost as long as we’ve been married. It’s definitely a tough, scary pill to swallow. But it’ll be worth it in the long run. It won’t be the last time we’re going to be apart for months so just need to get use to it now.

For now I’m not going to worry about the time we’ll be spending apart but I’m just going to enjoy the 13 days I have left. My goal is to make them as fun, memorable, and stress free as possible because I know there won’t be too much of that in the months to come.

I pray these next 13 days go slower than ever. I’m not ready to let him go.
