We Moved!

No, it was not a PCS. This move was voluntary and a bit… strategic 😉

We moved from our small, 2nd story apartment to a house! Our lease wasn’t supposed to be up until the end of April. Unfortunately my husband was scheduled to be away at training all of April and I was not about to move by myself again. So we went out on a limb and asked our apartment complex if there was any way we could break of lease early without penalty. Crazy idea right?! We were fully expecting them to laugh and say absolutely not, but they didn’t!

Right away they said sure and just asked that we keep them updated with our new move out date. We were in shock! From there we began immediately looking for rentals. The housing market here is extremely competitive. Houses are leased usually within days of becoming available. There were several things we wanted in the house to make moving worth it. We wanted at least 3 bedrooms, a garage, fireplace, fenced yard, less expensive and close to base.

Happy to share that we were able to find a beautiful house with all those characteristics and more! Moving was no easy task but wow am I grateful for good friends. We did most of the boxes and smaller things a few days before but definitely needed some help with the larger pieces of furniture. Lots of sweat, bumps and a few bruises but we got it all done.

Its been two weeks since we’ve moved in. Boxes are unpacked, pictures are hung and its starting to feel like home ❤️

P.S. I promise to post pictures soon 🙂

  1. Hello “Beautifullife”. Your writing is so conversational and smooth. You tell your story in realistic voice and openness. Bearing your feelings and sharing your emotions. I love your style. I guess we can attribute your talent to your youth. So glad you found your ‘dream’ house and I am saying a prayer for your husband’s stint in the service for our country. Let us know when the ‘blessed event’ happens. Last but not least, thanks for the ‘like’ on my blog entitled “God Explains “The Fruit Of The Spirit” Through Acts 4:32-35 And John 15:16″.
