Today is Tomorrow

I know we are just a few weeks into this journey but I am so proud of my body. Each month I get my period, my initial reaction is disappointment but it is always closely followed by gratefulness. I know that sounds extremely odd, especially considering that we are TTC (Trying To Conceive). However, I am grateful to know my body is strong, healthy and working as it should.

I caught myself thinking, “Once I am pregnant, I will start eating better/work out again.” Then I realized how absolutely dumb that was. Why would I wait? Why not start now?! Why not start building the and establishing the best foundation and health that I could? And so I did! I woke up early and headed in to the gym.

I use to work out all the time and even compete competitively when my husband and I were dating. We actually met at a Bodybuilding Competition we were both competing in. We loved spending time in the gym together. Once we got married, life got busy, I got a huge promotion, he left for the Army and we both just got away from it.

I don’t know if I will get stage ready again, but pregnant or not, I want to be and have the healthiest body possible and for me, that started today šŸ’ŖšŸ»

  1. This encouraged me to start getting my body ready for a baby as well. While we don’t plan on having one for another year, my chances are better if I am active and healthier.

Thank you and always wishing you the best on your baby journey!
